Accompanying Spouse Option
You can apply for the accompanying spouse option, (per adult, including any accompanying children) cover for your spouse, at any time during the period of insurance, Cover under this option will be the same as the original certificate of insurance and will be covered under the same excess.
OR
You can purchase a separate Annual Certificate of Insurance for your travelling partner (per adult including accompanying children) at any time, this policy will start on the nominated departure date and expire 12 months later and have its own nominated excess payable on any claims.
Existing Medical Conditions (EMC): You must tell QBE if you or anyone in your travelling party has a High Risk EMC or requires cover for any other EMC other than those automatically covered. Please read the PDS as conditions apply.

Existing Medical Conditions [EMC] of a non travelling relative or business partner: Provided they are under 80 years of age you can apply to cover their EMC if their state of health could disrupt your travel plans even though they are not travelling with you.

Guidelines
This policy is available to residents of Australia who are under 70 years of age at the time the Certificate of Insurance is to be issued. Read the PDS carefully before buying, and be aware of any special conditions, excluded circumstances and events.
This policy provides cover for travelling both overseas or within Australia
There is no limit to the amount of trips you may take during your 12 months period of insurance.
Extensions: the maximum duration of any one trip is 60 days. For any trips longer than this duration you can extend by applying online for a separate International or Australian Travel Plan to cover the period of the trip that exceeds the maximum duration of 60 days. (please refer to the section headed extensions)
The Certificate of Insurance must be issued prior to the commencement of your trip
Insurance is not available to travellers outside Australia.
The terms and conditions of the policy are subject to the laws of the Australian state or territory where the Certificate of Insurance is issued. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of that state or territory.
The Annual Multi Trip Travel Plan cannot be purchased more than 12 months prior to the nominated "Commencement Date".
There is no cover under this policy when you are between trips other than any benefits you may be entitled to under Section A"Cancellation and Additional Expenses"
You cannot substitute the nominated insured, whose name appears on the Certificate of Insurance. This does not apply to Section D9 "Alternative Staff" provided the replacement employee submits and Application Form and if required a Travellers Medical Appraisal Form and cover is approved by QBE

Cooling off Period ... If, having purchased a QBE policy, you want to return it, you can do so within 21 days of receiving the Certificate of Insurance and obtain a full refund, provided no claim has been made and your trip has not commenced. The Cooling Off Period does not apply to policy or trip extensions. (Please read the PDS as conditions apply).
