The Australian Travel Plan can be issued at any time unless you require cover for an existing high risk Medical condition |
* |
If you require cover for a high risk medical condition you cannot purchase insurance more than 12 months prior to travel. |

All Australian Travel Plans are available to residents of Australia regardless of age. |
* |
The Australian Travel Plan is available for non-residents of Australia, if you are under 70 Years when the Certificate of Insurance is issued |
* |
Insurance is not available to travellers outside Australia |
* |
The terms and conditions of the policy are subject to the laws of the Australian state or territory where the Certificate of Insurance is issued. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of that state or territory. |

There is no provision to suspend this policy during the period of insurance |
* |
This policy ends once you have returned to your normal place of residence within Australia |

The premium payable is per adult. A maximum of 2 adults can be named on a Certificate of Insurance. Accompanying children, grandchildren, stepchildren, nieces and nephews who are under 25 years of age at the time the Certificate of Insurance is issued, and who are financially dependant on you during the trip, are covered at no additional cost |

If you are aged more than 80 years, then you must apply for a medical appraisal (available when quoting) and submit to QBE for assessment |
Excesses
|
The amount of the excess will be shown on your Certificate of Insurance. An excess of $50 applies to each claim you make under this policy except for the "no excess' applicable sections. The excess will be subtracted from the amount QBE pays to you if you should make a claim under a section of the policy when the excess is applicable. If you make more than one claim, the excess will apply to each claim which arises as a result of each separate set of circumstances. |

Existing Medical Conditions (Including pregnancy) |
You do not have to take cover for your existing medical condition However there is no cover under this QBE policy for any claim arising as a result of, or exacerbated by, or consequential upon your existing medical condition unless you have told QBE about it. Please refer to the section in the PDS headed 'Existing Medical Condition'. Form available when quoting. Not available after departure or to non residents of Australia. |
Existing Medical Conditions of a Non Travelling Relative or Business Partner |
You may also choose to take out cover to protect you if your trip is cancelled, cut short or disrupted due to an existing medical condition of a non-travelling relative or business partner provided they are under 80 years of age. Not available after departure or to non residents of Australia |
