GETravel Insurance is a trading name of Global Surf Travel Pty Ltd, a travel insurance reseller on the Gold Coast, Australia. We are fully qualified and cross endorsed by our insurer QBE Insurance (Australia) to sell travel insurance for them.
We are able to offer you direct online access to a choice of travel insurance options for travel insurance from QBE, it is up to you to choose the cover you need.
QBE's PDS is designed to assist you in your decision to purchase travel insurance. It contains information about key benefits and significant features. Any advice in the PDS document is of a general nature only; and has not considered your objectives, financial situation or needs.

We can directly issue or vary QBE travel insurance under a binding authority in accordance with the underwriting guidelines.

In some cases we may need to arrange for QBE to do this if we are not able to act under the underwriting guidelines.

We do not have any authority to give you any advice (i.e. recommendation or opinion about the financial product).

We can provide you with factual information only on the product to help you decide if it is right for you. The choice is yours.

If you are making an online booking through us by phone, and are required to provide us with your credit card details, this will be carried out within a secure browser window.

All information is entered directly to the secure QBE site. All information is coded and then deleted at the completion of the purchase. The Certificate of Insurance is then emailed directly to you plus the PDS for confirmation.

We may charge a fee for aditional services provided to you after you have been issued with a policy. This may include but is not limited to alterations and other changes to your policy.

We will notify you of any fee at the time you make a request for additional services.

We receive commission from QBE which is a percentage of the total premium paid by you to QBE for the product. The commission is paid monthly by QBE based on the policies issued. You can request full details of the remuneration paybable to us for the issue of your policy by asking us at any time, until the end of your cooling off period. (refer cooling off period Page 8 of the PDS)

Customers may be reassured that, when purchasing a QBE travel insurance policy, your pre-paid expenses are covered for cancellations or delays caused by severe weather, natural disasters, civil commotion or strikes as well as an illness or injury, as set out in the PDS. If You Have a Complaint
If you ever have a complaint, you should refer the matter to QBE, using the contact details in the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS). QBE has procedures in place to help resolve any issues you may have.
